For adult sparring, 16 oz is the starting point, including for lighter boxers. Have your coach assess weight and padding; larger boxers may need 18 oz. Use 14 oz only with approval.

After training, wipe with a lightly damp cloth, leave open to air-dry and store only when fully dry. Do not wash, heat or leave wet in your gym bag.
